PHOENIX, Ariz. --- California Baptist University sophomore Ashlee Cervantes was selected as the Pacific West Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week.

The honor was announced the PacWest Media Office. It is her first weekly honor, but she becomes the seventh CBU athlete to earn the conference's top weekly honor this year.

All five of the Lancers' PacWest fall sports have now had at least one athlete earn Player of the Week honors.

Cervantes was the Lancers' top finisher and finished 27th among runners from four-year schools at Saturday's UC Riverside Invite. She clocked a time of 21:48.7 on the 6K course to help the Lancers finish 10th out of 20 teams, 12 places better than last year's 22nd place finish.

Teammates Robyn Arnold, Bethany Bilton, Kimberly Carter, Hanna Ingulsrud, Lynnea Sjoerdsma, Naomi Van Setten and Alexandra Vukov were all named to the PacWest Weekly Top 10 Honor Roll.
